The rules that void payouts

The consistency rule, explained: the payout gate that measures shape, not size

Facts checked October 22, 2026

A consistency rule caps how much of your total profit may come from a single day — typically 30%, 40% or 50%. Pass with one day contributing more than the cap and the pass or the payout can be reduced, deferred or refused. You broke no loss rule. Your profit arrived in the wrong shape.

A style whose profits come from a few big days — a news spike, one trend day a month — is not "risky" under these rules; it is structurally unpaid. The fix is not trading worse on your best days; it is choosing a program whose written rules pay for the shape you actually produce, or reshaping the style on a demo before money is involved. In August 2026 a firm denied a payout under a "windfall" consistency rule it had never announced; the CEO reversed it the same day after public backlash. The reversal was the exception. The discovery mechanism — you find out when you ask for the money — is the structure.
